Wedding food and photographic multi-tasking

One of the fun parts of being a wedding photographer is that you get asked to take photos of all sorts of things. The flowers Granny arranged, the paper lanterns from a cousin, the wedding rings, and the shoes – mustn’t ever forget the shoes! The fun part is that you’re merging so many areas of photography – from landscape to fashion and product photography to portraits – that you have to able to make almost anything look good in a photo.

At my last wedding I was asked to take some photos of the food. As it was a buffet main course the bride and groom only wanted images of the desserts and being quite a desserts fan myself I happily obliged…before sampling them.
