Most of the time being a photographer is about responding to the environment and the light around you. Sometimes though there is an idea for an image that’s stuck in your head and just won’t go away. It’s that photograph you’ve always wanted to take, or that concept that would make the perfect image. I’ve had one of those stuck my head for a while.
Maybe it’s a form of photography bucket list, but there are some images in my head that I can see perfectly clearly, but just haven’t taken yet. The photo below was one. I was in Prague zoo and the subject and the light presented themselves, so I rather unceremoniasly grabbed my friend’s SLR and got it.
One off the bucket list…
