Great Fosters Wedding, Surrey

I’ve been privileged to shoot at some lovely venues since I started photographing weddings, but Great Fosters hotel in Surrey has to be one of the most beautiful. Grade One listed and built as a hunting lodge in 1550 the whole place is steeped in history.

I was photographing Stephanie and Keith’s wedding back in September, which was a lovely intimate affair, with just a few close friends and family as guests. At first it poured with rain, but the sun finally came out in the late afternoon. Great Fosters gardens are a fabulous location to shoot in. One of my favourites from the day is the couple holding hands and taking a stroll in the setting sun. I waited until the sun was just catching Keith’s hand, as well as the Stephanie’s flowers, before hitting the shutter.

Great Fosters was a stunning venue to photograph, full of exciting little places to shoot, as well as gorgeous gardens. Stephanie and Keith were an amazing couple, who so obviously brought out so much joy in each other that it spilled over into everyone who was there…
